The Thanksgiving holiday was recently celebrated in the United States. We ask the question, what does the holiday mean to you? Most Americans truly do not know the origin of thanksgiving, or the “story” of how it all got started. On this episode of Native Opinion, we present the true story of Thanksgiving. The one that American schools refuse to teach to students. The story that most American's denied or ignore because it isn’t a happy tale of happy pilgrims and Indigenous people celebrating life over a meal. Join hosts Michael Kickingbear and David Grey Owl as they present the true historical account of the thanksgiving holiday most simply refuse to accept.
There is also an update on the Dakota Access pipeline, and listener feedback.
